What a wonderful array of artistic and colorful mailboxes. I think that mailboxes would be a wonderful theme for CDP.

I like the one with the beach scene. I saw these outside a restaurant. Perhaps the restaurant owner is also an artist.

Incredibly beautiful, that would be one way which might keep the mail delivery person from mixing up the mail.

They are too colourful and beautiful to only be a mailbox.

Colorful mailboxes. That would make it easy to give directions to your house :)

Very special, in which country is this and is it normal?

I used to keep a collection of photos just dedicated for mail boxes.

You just prompted to start this project to put on my blog again.

Caite: This area is sometimes very foggy so the colorful mailboxes really brighten up the place.

Dbourne: I wonder if these mailboxes are the only style or if you can ask the artist to paint anything you want.

Kate: Now I am curious, what is CDP?

Sukhmandir Kaur: The mail carrier might be more interested in looking at the boxes and mix up the mail.

LifeRamblings: Get creative and paint your existing mailbox. :)

Indrani: Get them all and put a different one out everyday.

Jidhu Jose: Which one would you collect?

llandudnopictures: The neighbors probably enjoy them too.

Cafe au Lait: Thanks!

cocomino: With these happy boxes, I wonder if the owner will still smile if they get a bill in the mail.

rainfield61: They also add beauty to the outside of the house.

catsynth: You'r right, if everyone got one, you don't have to tell them your home address number, just the drawing of your mailbox.

Filip and Kristel: This is not normal. I have seen most of these in small or rural areas. Having bland black or silver mailboxes is more normal.

Betchai: These are fun to look at and sure to draw attention when driving by.

EastCoastLife: You would be the envy of the neighborhood.

James: I look forward to seeing your mailbox photos.

As a city dweller, I never even think of mailboxes. These are so fun, but, also a truly rural phenomenon. Great capture.

If I were the postman (or woman) I certainly look forward to send mails to those colourful mailboxes. :)

Oh so cute! I wonder what my neighbours would think if I installed an American-style mail box on my lawn? (Our post is pushed through the letter-flap on our door whether it actually fits or not).
